Our Founding Fathers had an idealistic vision of a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people” predicated upon the auspicious principles of liberty, justice, and equality, which principles are not owing to caste, class, or race; but rather on to our relationship as sons and daughters of God.
Ours is a government “of the people,” to be sure, but broken people who, having renounced their relationship to God and His Truth, have thereby corrupted and enervated the ideal of government as envisaged by our Founding Fathers. Alas, the Government in America has become like a polylithic leviathan. Though it is made of up by men and women hailing from all fifty states, each has his/her own debts owed, self- and constituent interests, motivations, notions, and a never-ending reelection cycle.
Government is actually less than the sum of its parts; or, perhaps more precisely and more fairly, it is in every respect characterized by the lowest common denominator of its constituent parts—politicians and bureaucrats—whether presidents, governors, mayors, legislators, attorneys general, agency heads, councilmen, and even judges.
